Deserted
The moon has left my night sky
So dark, bland, and plain.
There is nothing to motivate my mind
And I am left unentertained.
The stars have left my night sky
Empty, unlit, and demure.
There is nothing to accompany my thoughts
And I am left alone and insecure.
The crickets have left the rustling trees
So as not to orchestrate a tune.
There is nothing to evoke my desire
And I am left unamused.
The cool breeze has left the rustling trees
So as not to touch my skin.
There is nothing to soothe my passion
And I am left burning within.
