    Denver

    Almost Heaven . . .
    Now I understand
    Conjuring seven
    Mountain wonderland

    All points in between
    Connected now like wire
    Extending back in time
    Kindling primeval fire

    Spaceships and rabbits
    Pine trees and water
Just go out and grab it
    Sunshine’s sweet daughter

    Gifted to excess
    Magnificence beyond time
    Words cannot express
    The majesty of divine

    Minstrel song and word
    As a child I heard
    Helped my spirit grow
    Taught me all I know

    Comforted me at night
    Showed me what was right
    Love’s undying ember
    I recognized in Denver

    Peace and joy serene
To feel what I have seen
I call you now, go forth
