Deliquesce

Unto this day, I smile,
The eyes of the depths in you that I see-
Immensely beauteous;
Radiating brilliant colors.

I feel them taking me over
Scraping out the tragic scene from my memory.

Then comes with you
The morning sun…leaving me awe-struck,
And with a keystroke
Chronic rue melts under your charm.

I dust myself off the ground
Walking towards the heart ready to spur me on.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
