    Dancing Pen

    Twilight comes knocking,
    Nothing dares provoke worry,
But a breezy evening so full of charm:
Watching the leaves dance to the melody
Of the breeze, I pick up my beloved dancing pen.

    Pen most famous,
How he dances to everyone’s tune!
    Left, right, forward, backward
No matter how you sway him about
He is up to the task, ever ready to perform.

    For me he dances,
To all emotions that ever lived.
    With my dancing pen,
I dwell in mental comfort, ever ready,
To restore sanity to a chaotic World.

    For good or bad cause,
    He dances to perfection-
The one thing he was trained to do-
So that his commander is wrapped up
Like a climbing tendril, with satisfaction.

    When upon invitation,
    He never dances to exhaustion.
    When in his glory,
His prints help build up a ladder of success,
Wherein every grain of doubt wilts
As he waltzes to the music of the mind.

This is an amazingly thrilling poem. It has a lot of charm to it. The pen is your dancing partner and the stage is the world, how wonderful. I really liked your poem. You go girl!

Hi Medcat. I appreciate your beautiful comment. It encourages me more. The pen really is a wizard, that leaves us all bereft of what to say.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
