Death of a Stranger

Death of a Stranger

Death of a stranger,

Death of a stranger,

The one beside you, the one you always knew,

He was like an angle, Fluid and smooth,

Someone you fell in love with, the other side of you,

The side you begged to be with,

The side you barely knew,

You woke up one day and he was gone,

You cried your last tear; you sang your last song,

You walked in your sleep to visit him at night,

You talked for hours but woke up to an empty sight,

He was the stranger you never knew,

He was the stranger beside you,

The night it happened they said he was happy,

The brave strong side of the stranger is what they saw,

The scared lonely weakness was unaware to all,

From what I’m told he’s someone you wanted to know

But all I really knew was the stranger just like you!

Who says we all wake up and are not that other side of us? Most of us don't know our own will and mind so we stay lost in some realm beyond here... over there... also how can that part that is your life die and your soul no go free? Interesting poem gives one some things to think about... an easy read formed well...wagus

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
