    Coming Home

Just around the bend in the the road

lies my home away from home.

It remains standing still for me

    wherever I may roam.

I've been out on my own,

    been to many different places

but my home remains the same

    with familiar smiling faces.

I am welcomed with open arms

no matter how long I've been away.

    My roaming time is over

for now I think I'll stay.

I can breathe a little freer

    and love a little brighter.

    My smile is much bigger,

    my heart is even lighter!

Just around the bend in the road

lies my one and only home.

I heard it crying out for me

and no longer will I roam.

My home was called "The River's End" bar. I really like your poetry. I can relate to all of it. Thanks for sharing.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
