    Close Your Eyes and Dream

    Close your eyes and dream
    Don't worry about a thing
    Let the pain dull away
And the fear will pass you bye

    Your heart has gone astray
For the deadly poison lives within
But planted by your flesh and blood
And condemned to a place of solitude

Truth resides in your angel's eyes
It is there in your lonely voice
Yet all they hear is silence
Lies that they should not believe

    Close your eyes and dream
    It will be alright
Let the fear pass you by
And you will be free one day

You need more depth to fill this piece out and make it plausible, lot of material in there you could take in many directions.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
