    Clear as Mud

    Degraded, dejected,
    demoralized, determined,
    Dead.
    The facts are clear;
    as clear as mud...
Nothing is as it seems to be
    Truth to lies...
    Fact to fiction...
There is nothing to see here.
    Did you give into temptation?
    or,
    were you the tempter?
    Did the fairytale suddenly end?
Are you back to where you started?
    Is it fair to presume
    that you've given in?
    given up?
    or,
    are you simply lost?
Are you ready to begin again?

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
