butterflies

butterflies

moon beams catch her hair
gleaming gold as bright as fire
that dances in her eyes
eyelashes flutter like butterflies
on a cool summer night
heart beating wildly
to fast to contain itself inside
bursting like a morning glory
in the dewiness of dawn
sun rays kissing her cheeks
freckles left to see
as if a memory of the warmth upon her face
hands now guiding the smile
of which had said
goodbyes with the shadows of midnight
feelings so strong
fearing those saltwater waves of the ocean
once cold and dark
clear now all the way to the bottom
crystals dancing underneath the surface
waves of passion
calming long time fears of drowning
being swept away
your kiss being my lifeline....

This is a beautiful poem!! Very emotional and your descriptions are wonderful!! Love your poems keep them coming!!

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
