Brighter Days

How did I get here, this dark and dreary place?
Winds Howling, clouds darkening gloom and despair is written on my face.
I must have taken a wrong turn to reach this hopeless situation.;
When will the clouds lift, when will the wind stop blowing for this I have anticipation.
Then the Lightning did crack and the thunder did roar the situation went from bad to worse.
I got down on my knees and looked to the hills searching for an answer, a direction, a wise verse;
But nothing came to me not a light on a hill, not a path threw the trees not a clever or wise antidote.
I hung my head in grief, my mind began to wonder it felt like I lost all hope;
and that's when it happened my focus was sharpened but not on my hopeless state.
while the storm was raging a small voice did whisper and assured me this would not be my fate.
The voice continued speaking although it was soft it had power and deep revelation.
It told me," stand fast and don't be shaken stop wallowing in all your frustration".
continuing to speak it took me on a journey and reminded me of days full of sunshine.
That's when I realized the storm had lifted it has only a matter of Faith and Time.

Like the tender touch by one who loves us is the blanket of comfort sent to assure! A super good write that meters through well. Tightly written in spots with the end leaving me wanting more triumph!

i love this sir...wonderful, really... God is good.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
