    BRAND NEW AGE

YOUNG JOHHNY'S ON THE STREET HE'S BUYING A GUN

LOOKS LIKE THE BOYS HAD ENOUGH

LOOKS LIKE HE'S GONNA HURT SOMEONE

THEIR COMES A TIME WHEN THE PRICE DOESN'T MATTER

    SOMETIMES SOMETHINGS GOTTA BE DONE

    SUGAR MAN HE'S SITTING PRETTY

JUST WAITING FOR THAT ONE BIG SCORE

A CAR PULLS UP IT'S RADIO BLARING

IT DOESN'T DROWN OUT THE MAGNUMS ROAR

    SUGAR MAN JUST ANOTHER STATISTIC

    LIVING OUTSIDE THE LAW

    OUTSIDE HER HOUSE ANNIES WEEPING

    THEY'VE TAKEN HER CHILDREN AWAY

SHE TAKES A PULL FROM ANOTHER VODKA BOTTLE

SHE STARTS TO SCREAM HER BLUES AWAY

IT'S AN UGLY PICTURE IN AN UGLY WORLD

IT WONT GET BETTER TILL WE LEARN TO CHANGE

I DONT WANT TO PREACH I WANT TO BELIEVE

I WANT TO BELIEVE IN A BRAND NEW AGE

    I WANNA WALK THESE STREETS

WITH A SMILE UPON MY FACE

OUT IN THE PARK PETE'S GETTING OVERFRIENDLY

LORRAINE THINKS IT'S TIME TO STOP

PETE SAYS HONEY YOU A'INT GETTING OFF THAT EASY

LORRAINE SAYS NO PETE I'M NOT READY

HE PULLS A KNIFE SAYS HOW'D YOU WANT IT

    TOUGH OR EASY

LEROY KISSES HIS MUM GOODBYE SHE SHOUTS

HAVE A NICE DAY AS SHE WAVES GOODBYE

BUT LEROY'S NOT GOING TO SCHOOL TODAY

HE'S GOT A BAG FULL OF CRACK AND DEALS TO MAKE

TWENTY MINS LATER THE DEALS GONE WRONG

    LEROY'S BLOWN AWAY

IT'S AN UGLY PICTURE IN AN UGLY WORLD

IT WONT GET BETTER TILL WE CAN CHANGE

I DONT WANT TO PREACH I WANT TO BELIEVE

I WANT TO BELIEVE IN A BRAND NEW AGE

I WANNA WALK THESE STREETS WITH A SMILE ON MY FACE

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
