    Poem Commentary

    Written in 2005

    BENDING WOODS

Thick tall woods and bending trees
Gently blow to sweep across the breeze
The whistling pine softly blows my name
The Iroko stands in support of the same

For calm sweet rest and peace of mind
I've come to the woods my soul to find
To the far patches of white-blue sky
Blow my grieves and let them fly

Exchange them for peace for me
At last my soul has come to be
With words my ears all longed to hear
The still small voice so loud and clear

Blow as you never did before
Blow and bring my life to the fore

I was drawn immediately to the references of nature. I agree, the soul finds an immeasurable feeling of peace in the woods, listening to the voices on the wind. Avery good read, thank you, mlea

    Thank you for thanking me.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
