Awaiting True Love
Somewhere in the ocean, my heart lies,
Waiting, patiently waiting, for a love undisguised.
And somewhere far across that never-ending sea,
My one true love awaits my arrival, unbeknownst to me.
When and where we shall meet, we may never know,
But to get there, I would travel through rain, hail, ice and snow.
For nothing can keep a woman's heart from true love,
Not even the devils in Hell or the angels in the heavens above.
And when comes the day we shall meet, I'll go prepared,
For Cupid's well-aimed arrow shall not catch me unaware.
