    As I Sit Here

    As i sit here
all I hear is the sound of the rain
reminding me of all the times you made me cry.
    As i sit here
all I smell is the sweet scent ofyou cologne
and it reminds me that even the good doesn't lasts long.
    As I sit here
all I feel is the cold
and it reminds me that everything dies.
    And as i sit here
all I see is that beautiful little girl
reminding me that somethings are worth the pain.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
