    Answer to My Call

    Glorious light and liberty
    Oh Majesty on high
    Exuding grace and plenteous power
    Thy love dreweth me nigh!

From murky depths and miry clay
    Reconciled, I was to Thee
Wash me, cleansed me, in Thy blood
    Blessed my eyes to see.

When I, before, was lost and blind
    Thou lookedst from beyond
Had pity, mercy on my soul
    Made me Thy precious son.

Now should I despise my calling
    Nay! Tis' cannot be!
    For whatsoever Thou shouldest speak
That, for me, will ever be.

I am, because You Are, Dear God
    Father! This is true!
Lead me, guide me, direct my path
Till I be one with you

This is the BEST one I've read so far! Very good rhyme, the messege is clear, and it reads really well...just flows! Honestly, a rhyming poem with a good flow is so much nicer to read for most people. You have a lot of talent!!

Thank you for reading, Chi. I appreciate your comment, thanks.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
