    Always Me

     I was born life eternal
    No beginning no end
    No mother no father
    Not one simple thing
    To call my own
    I am constantly in motion
    Never moving forward
    Trying to avoid the past
    Tortured life
    Callous heart
    Unrepentent soul
    Onward I push
    Along the gravel roads
    For a destination unknown
    I have worn many faces
    And lived many lives
    A husband, father
    Soldier, friend
    But in the end
    Always as me
