    Alpha, The Beginning

If I were to tell a blind man what I look like,
    I'd say,
Imagine the color of hate and rage tempered by compassion.
    Because it used to be
I couldn't tell my dreams from reality
    Unless I was in pain
And sometimes it hurts so bad
    My shaking tears go numb
    I can't sleep at night
Weary of cold dry cell walls
    Tourmenting my dreams
    Like
    Dancing with the devil, paralized
    If they break me
    If this place breaks me
    By myself, I'm helpless
So I fall to my knees and pray
    A twisted song for salvation
    When in the dark silence
    My heart beats of revelations
As I wait to feel the breeze blow of genesis
    And for a moment
    Forget the pain.

I appreciate the love. I wrote that when I was 16 in going through a rough time.

A good piece of writing...hopefully you have found your sanctuary in prayer...

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.

Plato (BC 427-BC 347) Greek philosopher.
