    All The Way Around

    Deep into myself I look and with feeling I flirt,
    Trying hard to maintain but the pressure it hurts.
    All the way around my mind I search, life is choices
    and decisions, the ability to deal with consequences,
    the acceptance of responsibility.
    All the way around I've found that with doubt comes fear;
    learned to shed a tear to sooth that feeling.
    Remembering that love shines brightest in the dark,
    with God in my life I don't believe in problems.
    Dealing with emotions and trying to stay focused, taking for
    granted no moment; just hold on, be stronger, for a little bit
    longer. Hunger for the passion of unconditional.
    I tell you it hits deeper in your essence the pressure of
    All The Way Around.

    Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
