    Poem Commentary

    I wrote this poem when I was 15 and in a home for troubled youth. After a counselor found it under my pillow, she had me committed. She didn't understand that it was because I had written it that I didn't do it. So many poems back then were only about the "frilly, soft side of life" that I never really felt comfortable sharing this poem with the world. Now I think people need to be reminded of the "real crisis" some kids face today. God Bless and please let me know what you think.

    All Alone Again

    Momma' gonna beat ya'
    Daddy's gone again
    Brother's on top of sister
    And I'm all alone again
    Things are happenin'
    All around me
    But nothin' stoppin'
    So I can see
    What leaves
    Leaves me stranded
    Come hold on to me
    Cuz' I'm all alone
    All alone
    All alone again

    Momma's drunk on vodka
    Schnapps, rum, and brandy
    Dad's in bed again
    With a chic he calls Bambi
    He picked her up
    On Elm Street
    By the old oak tree
    Crying
    Come hold on to me
    Cuz' I'm all alone
    All alone
    All alone again

    Little sister Susan
    Got stuck under brother Ted
    Trying to keep her morals and values
    Staying out of bed
    But brother keeps on trying
    And finally gets to her
    On her knees she cries
    Come hold to me
    Cuz' I'm all alone
    All alone
    All alone again

    I'm lonely and confused
    No one to help me through
    I turn to marijuana
    Crank, coke, and acid too
    My ship
    It won't come in
    Cuz' I've finally given up
    I'm in my den
    On the coffee table
    I left a note
    This is what it said
    "Here I hang
    In this room of sorrow
    Lonely, confused, and dead!"

    thanx for sharing, life can deal some wicked stuff. the important thing is what you choose to do w/the rest of your life. allow evil to keep you down or grab on to the wings of an angel!!! hope U have ahold of those wings!!

    Too much too soon to deal with, but Jesus has a plan for those re-born to heal with the love of God's own hand.
