Admonishments

In darkness I can see Fear, smell Suffering a mile wide.
It attempts to suffocate me, stealing oxygen as a practiced thief a jewel.
Perhaps I scan its otherworldly fate and intertwine it with my own,
Yet again, perhaps I let it enter and depart without a by your leave.
Either way, it's agony shall engulf me only to learn of disappointment in the rawest of forms.

I bequeath the blackness, and entertain the time slipping away into the river of Father Time.
Laughter, I hear, is a respectful way to permit the Sun admission.

Thnak you for this inspirational write. A good read to start my day 10 from me.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
