Addiction

Your name is addiction, you play the game well.
You take your contestants all the way to hell.
They feast on you again and again,
Open their heart to sin's awful den.

Lies and neglect comprise each life,
You give new meaning to the word strife,
The addicts tries to give up your thrill,
But he just can't seem to get his fill.

You take a hold of their very soul,
Lust and need - taking their toll.
They wrestle with you from morning 'til night.
Life in your grip is really a fight.

They lay in a heap of despair on the floor,
Begging and pleading, "Oh please give me more!"
"More of that feeling that gives me a rush..."
While close friends say, "Don't make such a fuss!"

And not only them, but their family goes down.
There's secrets and whispers all around town.
The neighborhood knows that something's not right.
There's chaos and fighting deep in the night.

You specialize in mental torment.
Release from you would be heaven-sent.
Addiction's hold is like hell on earth.
What they need is Christian re-birth.

Your name is addiction, you play the game well.
You take your contestants all the way to hell.
You chew on them as long as you can -
Then spew them out - every woman and man!
