“Latino”

Latino? Yes I am.
Did I make a mistake, when I founded this plan?
Where I open my hand and carry in it, my land?
For all to see, as I take a stand.
To be heard, truly seen, to present my team.
For so many of my ancestors could not live out this dream.
So many obstacles, strategically placed in their way.
Yet here I stand, at a road’s beginning, with so much to say.
Here these roars, Latinos in unity.
Come with me and support your vast community.
Even if some of us fell, united we will all stand.
For this is the paradise, where we all flaunt our brand.
Latinos forever, don’t dare to forget.
They can’t take your accomplishments. There are too many to neglect.
Though many will try that becomes apparently certain.
But we reign with an individuality, which reinforces our Latin curtain.
We provide light for our misled families.
Yet we also offer shade, for those not of our nationality.
Hispanic we stand, as a truly unique crowd.
Say it strong, say it verbally and quite loud.
Latino, yes I am and damn it I’m so proud.
For this undying wind will carry our worldwide voice, projecting it all around.
Mentioning the many achievements started by our famous ancestral parents.
Which although not always recognized, gave us this strength, unity and talent. . . .
To help provide the world with true Hispanic renditions.
Of our powerful scope, deserving so much recognition.
A pure Latino soul, never choosing to be negated.
Feel the positive affect, which it has permanently created.
Stand with me, familia, let us join our hands up high.
For the Lord will spread our virtues, throughout the entire sky.
Providing all others, with a taste of our distinguished culture.
Extending powerful influences, for future Latino families, to nurture.
Then the entire world will realize, what we’ve known for all too long . . .
There’s more to the Latinos than delicious food and beautiful songs.
Born we are with a feature which spans the greatest divide.
For there is no greater reckoning force, than that of heartfelt Latino Pride.

Proud Latino...very great man...indeed..

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
