    A Poem For Gabriel

A life so small and precious,
    One that doesn’t deserve sickness.
This sweet innocent life still has so much to learn.
I sit and pray for his well being,
So many tubes in him I am seeing.
I place his priceless life in the hands of God,
As I weep in hopes he will pull through.
I pray and ask God to hold him in his arms,
To keep our little Gabriel safe from harm.
He is holding him on His chest,
I prayed and will trust in God to do the rest.
He is so young and has his whole life ahead of him.
I know little Gabriel will prevail,
And that God will heal all things from which he ails.
He will get better and grow up to be a great man,
Never knowing how truly sick he was that day.
But remembering how many people love him in every way.
So many friends and family that care.
Surround his parents in their time of need,
No one realizes this more than me.
Everyone is showing their love and support,
Doing what they can to help ease the fears and stress.
A parent’s love can never be measured,
Watching their child grow is their greatest pleasure.
He is now at home and doing better,
    God heard our unwritten letters.
Prayers for him to heal Gabriel.
As He did with no question.
Now we will sit back and watch him grow,
And in our hearts we will always know.
Know that God was there in his time of need.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
