I wasn't looking for love but it was Love that came and found me
I'm drowned in emotions for the power of Love's presence surrounds me
Lost for words because I cant explain how it came
It shone in like sunshine in the midst of my rain
He just walked up and made himself home, I didn't think he was my type
My heart did cartwheels while my mind wondered if my tears he could wipe
My eyes flashed a vacancy sign longing to fill the room that had been vacant for so long
My mind was telling me no but the signals from my body were way too strong
When Love called my name my soul couldn't help but to answer
Mind,body, spirit this love is spreading like cancer
When Love walked by he was sharp, he was clean
Appearance sweet, his hair was neat, and that walk of his was mean
But Love needed love and love is what I had to give
But without returned love from this man I call Love I would not want to live
A soft word, a tender touch, a gentle kiss, those are the things I thought I did not miss
Lord, help my soul for I've never known a love like this.....

Love came along during a time when I needed love the most
His energy and vibrancy made me what to draw close
It was as though I was just learning to fly and I took off too fast
Ready to run, hide, I simply wanted to evade my dark past
I was going through changes and Love jumped right in and assumed his role
Love stood up as my soldier and took full control
It was as though the flame in my soul flickered out without a fight
And along comes Love- my friend, my match, my very light
Though I didnt readily express it I knew Love was the one
Because through my darkness Love represented my sun
I would've never thought our relationship would go this far
But you see Love is a fighter, a pursuer, He is my shining star
My feelings for Love have grown so deep
That often when I think of Love I can barely even sleep
It has to be magic, a spell, the work of a wiz
for truly i have never known a love like this....

Since Love has found me never again do I want to live without him
I need him like my soul needs this layer of skin
Without love in my life I was going down and I mean way under
And then came Love my silence in this crazy world of thunder
I want love and need love to always grace my life
That's why I accepted when Love asked me to be his wife

Sure I couldve went to Hallmark but that wouldn't have been real
For not one card they've ever printed could express to Love what it is that I feel
