A Hot Night
A late night, trying to catch some sleep-My Dog is barking-
I told him to shut the hell up, I hope you aint got to take a leak-
He’s barking and barking…..Like he’s dying to speak-
I’m getting annoyed, and I ask “what’s wrong with you boy”!
I reached over my shoulder, so I can grab his toy-
After I did that I notice a light coming from under my door-
I thought to myself, “I turned the bathroom light off.” I don’t really know if I’m sure.-
So I got up to open the door. When I did, flames dispersed and I fell to the floor-
It was so much smoke. I was coughing, and beginning to choke-
“Is this the end of my life,” I was beginning to quote.-
“I got to get up”, my dog was licking my face like….”man you got to sit up”.-
When I stood up my whole room…… just lit up!-
I ran quickly to the back window, I had so much stuff in my room I just had to tiptoe-
My window didn’t go up high enough, so it looks like I was doing the limbo-
I had to survive, in my books there was a chance, nothing next to zero.-
Thanks to my dog! He needs more than a metal, He’s a damn hero.-
I’m outside on my staircase. I call my dog, he’s scared; he looks bare face.-
We have no time, and that’s something we should dare waste.-
Wooo!! Were finally on the street now.-
I sat on the ground because my body’s feeling weak now.-
There were already people outside when I came out-
Everyone’s safe I guess they all took the safe route.-
I thought to myself, Damn that was a close call.-
Oh that’s right..…. I forgot to turn the stove off. :(
