A Found World

She gazes out the window to the world she knew had to be better. Why would someone so mystical, so awesome, allow such evil to happen to those pure of heart? With each bruise counted, she begins to become anxious. She knows he will be home soon. Will he be coming from work or from one of those pits that spurn such demons as alcohol? She is even more scared if it is the later. She forgot to keep his dinner warm. It was not going to be a good night.
Oh no! He's home! She begins to dull down her senses. Oh! He's even more upset! ONE.
He must really have been expecting that dinner. TWO.
He must have had a bad day at the site. THREE.
 Here comes the real fury....
FOUR. FIVE. SIX...... she slips into oblivion to seek the world
she knows is better.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
