Your Eyes Tell a Story
Some days your eyes are Dark
Some would say you have walked in darkness
Or that you have been kept from darkness.
Some days your eyes are Blue
Some would say you are a dreamer
Or live a life of wonder
Some days your eyes are Green
Some would say you are someone of Greatness
Or live a life of Mystery
It has been said “God’s first green is Gold”
For this you are a person worth known
And a person worth remembering
In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
