    Lion of the Wind

    Do you read my thoughts.
    Do you see my words.
Do you hear my heart speak.
Where are you now my old friend.
I can not read your thoughts of me.
I do not see your words.
Is your heart silent or is it just a whisper.
Speak to me my old friend.
For I am but a Voice in the Wind.
    That all may enjoy.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
