    You & Me

I know we could've done better than this…This horror unforeseen. Did I let you down? Take you for granted? My so loved, my Steve McQueen?

You, always knowing and aware of mistakes that we made. Too much thought of old devils, we too willingly gave.

Little bits of fear, already designed and created.

The life we so loved; now very Mistreated.

So entranced in our fairy tale.

We didn’t notice when love bailed.

    For that, I am

    Sorry…

    Now;

I will cry and I will die, yell,

    I will wail.

I will slam my neck, my chest with clenched fists,

My fingers will scratch my arms, tear at my face, my lips.

My head, my mind a raging flame.

Forever, I will live with all blame.

As I fumble, weeping and simply screaming….

    your name.

    An honest, confessional poem.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

    Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
