    yearninng to escape

I ride a bus home every day thinking of how I want to wander away
the mountains call me come to us they say come live again in this forest
dance with the moon run and fight with the shadows of night
dream of our silver shining trees and feel the wind blow through our leaves
oh listen our son the rhythm of one the song of all
the fight for life in a shadowy dell

a circle of rocks where none dare tread
the fairies lay sleeping till the twilight hours wake them from their bed
so come oh child come to us now rest your head all will be well
so lay quiet and drift to sleep let reality dispel.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
