Without You

Without You

When I sleep

My dreams are of slowly loving you

Then I wake

Cold as a stone and without you…

Without you

I don’t even have a plan

A battle weary gambler

With no hand

Without you

The sun won’t shine tomorrow

Life’s too long

Without you

Sometimes I laugh

I had such a good time knowing you

Then I cry

Memories are painful

Without you

Without you

I am only half a man

At times I can’t remember just who I am

Without you

The sun won’t shine tomorrow

Life’s too long

Without you

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
