    Winged Fantasy

    Within sanguine shades of season
    Coil strays into colours sublime
    Sampling wild cherry and coral
While gauzy glass edges to clear
And scales shed celadon and wine.

    Claret bleeds upon sable face
    As nectar flows from Cleome
    And Buddleia sighs her fragrance
    Waiting for a winged fantasy
    To notice her butterfly grace...

    She shudders beneath velvet cape,
    As soft antennae flutter near...
    Whispering gently for a taste.
    Viburnum  accepts a last dance
Before fey globes wither and waste.

Very thought provoking. Mystical, intriguing rise and fall of beauty that is precious and sincere. Good job.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
