    Will You One More Time

Will you come sit with me tonight?
I know it's cold and dark,
we will sit by candle light.
Will you come talk with me tonight?
No one knows me quite like you,
to feel that much better about life.
Remember how we used to dance?
Will you hold me close again?
Remember when we had that fight?
    We became closer as friends.
Please sit with me one more time,
I've got the keys and do not care-
    if everybody knows I'm there.
I miss your hug and kiss goodnight,
on my way out the back door.
I miss your care free smile.
Will you come back for just one night?
I feel lost even if Inever show it.
    For you were my brother
to whom I write my poem.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
