    Who I Am

    Someday very soon,
    I'll shout out "I ME"
    no more crying till noon
    and no more pretending,
    just for others to see.

I'll shout out for all to hear,
I'll tell them who i am,
And I'll have nothing to fear
For I'm not at all useless,
So proud of me, i am.

    So of these days,
    I'll wake up and shout
    "no matter what anyone says,
    I'm still very important"
    and that's without a doubt.

no one will make me useless
    for I'm not that low
    so i won't feel like a mess,
    for I'm not even one,
and that's how much i know.

    someday I'll make everyone know
    by shouting out"I'M ME"
    and whoever my foe,
    should know pretence's over
for now I'll shout it out "I'M ME".

What a powerful declaration! It makes me wonder how many people I see everyday arn't themselves, their beautiful selves, or am I myself? Thank you for posting.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
