Poem Commentary

Haha, I wrote a happy poem... You guys are probably gonna hate it. :)

Who Am I? I am me.

Who am I?
Is not just a thought
A piece of mind a bought,
I do not embrace
How people think about me,
Looking at my reflection
Through my mirror;
No one there to ask,
Who am I?
I think! not once but twice since:
A decision which lies with me,
A present of my authority;
A birth mother who can't tell,
Guidance of the past is revealed.
Thinking what people don't think about me,
Proclaim my righteous and reputation:
while other folks against me.
Amused by the unknown battle,
I fought unlimited destination;
Sacrifices I made in this section,
Glamorous victory I won,
Knowing myself best policy to success
I am who I am.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
