Poem Commentary

Just need to write what I feel occasionally.

That girl

That girl.
The one with the angelic smile,
comes looking for me in the night.

That girl.
The one with blood-stained hands,
and crimson eyes.

That girl.
The one that lurks in my worst nightmare,
a fear you can't imagine.

That girl.
Snaps a branch underneath her feet,
I whirl around and find her eyes in the dark of night.

That girl.
She comes closer.
She reaches out to me, as if to embrace.

That girl.
She knows I've seen her kill.
And she listens as I beg.

That girl.
She smiles and has a grasp on my neck.
She knows.

That girl.
She chuckles as I gasp for air.
She feels me go limp in her arms.

That girl.
Drops me to the ground.
I am her.

I thought you poem had a strong intent and vibe, but I feel like you play on the dark not actually in it. I would love you to write a happy poem with more detail, thats what makes a poem~Alis

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
