    When the Wind Dreams

    A gentle breeze strokes a child’s swing

In remembrance of the joyful music

That once played on this land

    Bellows of child like laughter

    Drums of pity pat feet

    Beating towards the earth

    A symphony of self worth

    Indulging in what’s mine

An orchestra conducted by competitive times

    Child like minds

Monitored by those who are interested

    In equal or greater ranking

    Authorities a popular ring tone

In HD with Dolby 5.1 capability

Going off in the movie theatre

In the middle of an important scene

    Just let them play

    Mother nature would say

    Mother audience screams

Stop that or you’ll get a spanking

    And outdoor DVR

A way to pause the cause

    Along with the fallen sun

Come on I got to run

    A tug of the hand

    Collecting members of the band

    Evacuating the stands

    Abandoning their biggest fan

Who desperately can’t wait to see them again

A reason to blow and not be the wind

Entertained by their music as she gracefully dance

    Sadly until then

She’s just a gentle breeze who strokes a child’s swing

                                                                                    In remembrance.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
