    When the mind wanders

Emotions of the heart leaves a strain on the mind
Prosperity of one's soul leaves the eye of another blind
Cries from a bleeding heart leaves painted teardrops behind
The conflicts within have you pressing life's stereo button rewind
Love, lust, and lies might paint you a pretty picture
Krs one said it best when he said love's gonna getcha
You're a slave to the rhythm and love will try to whip ya
Staring into one's eyes might have you caught up in the rapture
When you was young you really didnt go to school for this
To learn how to extract the nector like a bee from one's lipps
To acknowledge a soft gaze right before you encounter a soft kiss
Not to go to church but still experience a heavenly bliss
Gentle but loving words roll off of a bumpy tongue
A soft caress from one's hand can get another sprung
A quiet melody of joy overcomes you when the humming birds hum
Your heart skipping a beat as the drummer beats his drum
A sweet breathe of mist runs across your heated nose
A faint smell of fragrance running thru thier clothes
An arched back and some closed eyes with the curling of some toes
Head spinning like a whirlwind but it feels like time froze
Thoughts of what was, what will, and what can be leave you in a trance
Anxiety in your stomache gets the best of you as the butterflies dance
Tried to act hard to the world but they broke down your B-Boy stance
In the back of your mind you're only thinking that they give you that one chance
Cupid shoots his arrow but it feels like a body blow
When love walked in the room and it straight bumrushed the show
Your mind produced the right words but your mouth couldnt handle the flow
They might wear dark clothes but you continue to see them glow
Sometimes love will get you into mad beef like in between 16 quarter pounders
Have you trapped in a net like you were a school of flounders
The world might be a joke to you but you would never clown her
And that's just some of the things you'll find when the mind wanders

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
