    When I'm Gone

    I see the plane here.
It's coming to take me there.
    But don't you cry.
You must be strong so that we both may move along.

We both have our plans. Our plans to follow.
But yet as I sit in my seat I feel all sorts of hollow.
I know my love that we're meant to be.
Yet to that time, I can't see.

So while I'm gone shed no tears.
Hide that look and your fears.
Hold it tight and see my smile.
I promise it wont be a while.

    Please hide all those tears.
Don't let me see my fear.
As it runs down and smears the ink.
I'll know that's it all in a blink.

Either end it before or after.
    Don't do it for laughter.
    Don't send me that letter.
    Saying we aren't together.

Love me through thirteen weeks of hell.
It'll be gone and you'll here that bell.
I'll be there standing tall and proud.
Your Marine is back. A true Hell Hound.

    Our love will take flight.
And once again it'll be a sight.
But for now I'll be gone.
Just PLEASE DON'T LET ME BE A DEAR JOHN!

When I'm gone love me still.
I'll love you like my military drills.
Forever and always that's what you say.
Let it be true tell that day.

    The day we walk together.
With that ring that means forever.
I'll be yours and you'll be mine.
    To Stolen hearts intertwined.

But for now my love I'll say good bye.
Wipe those tears, the time will fly.
Think of the day when I come home.
Think of that kiss and let your mind roam.

I love you with all my heart.
    You'll see it's only a start.
    Sing that beautiful Love Song.
Just don't send me that Dear John.
