'What Was Mine'

I sit here and think of him,

With every thought of his touch, his smile, come my cries.

The way I felt and how he forgot them,

I remember his walk and the look into his dark eyes.

The way he held my hand,

Or touched my face.

How I obeyed his every demand,

And the way I lost myself in his embrace.

What we had is hard to leave,

His touch, his smile, his eyes.

I must forget all I use to believe,

And the sound of my cries.

But when I see him now,

It reminds me and my heart begins to wine.

And again I have to forget but don't know how,

Because she is now with what was mine.
