  • is believing that life moves in fluid fashion and is goddamn thirsty

what remains i must retain

you know me you know me all to well my own desire will consume me till I build a cell
I'm learning learning all to well that despite my efforts the outcome I can never tell
its burning burning deep inside my constant frustration i can no longer hide
no matter who I am I'm on the losing side no matter what I do I'm the break in the crest of the fallen tide
so would you come a little closer?would u hold me when its over?
would it make a difference if I lost this chip on my shoulder?
if I believe your words are you going to carve out of my back a special four leaf clover
should I remain enclosed entombed and clothed with the remains of a tattered robe
it only really covers the chest the rest is bare worn flesh for you to consume and digest
with what remains I must protest with this feeding off me to be your best
