What Do You Will Of Me?

What do you will of me,
I was there to help you be,
even when you turned your back on me.
What do you will of me I ask yet again even as I
came to be with you and left my word to follow,
all you did was show me your heart was shallow.
I came and left but sent comfort to you,
that you know is true.
With a little faith your dreams can be yours
and much more,
but now I can only wait as I knock on your heart,
the door.
Now, what do you will of me?!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
