Poem Commentary

I was just thinking and some one ask me a questionand someone else made a statement that led to!

WE'RE TWISTED

We are twisted as can be;
if she's loving you then who's loving me?
The one who wants to marry me
who got down on bended knee
Just for me to be bound to you
knowing in your heart you wasn't free
why what kind of life would that be
                    Deception then conception
                    such an unholy offering
and to whom do you pray this day
The God I know don't act that way
using my body tormenting my mind
Oh it's more than a sin my love it's a crime
No charges will be made though an arrest is due!
The only thing is will they arrest me or will they arrest you?

I like this poem. I can connect with it. Maybe it is because I stole love from another, then another stole love from me. The point being neither men were free. I know how much it hurts now the shoe is on the other foot.

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
