    Weighty is the stress

    Stress is a rock
    heavy and unyielding
    a solid blow she delivers
    to the spirit
    a stone’s voyage to river’s floor
    a mighty sledge
    cold and steely
    she pummels the soul
    and is to the mind
    a dream of lead balloons

I insist that some of the best writers come out of Austin. Maybe because I started writing when I lived there. Ha ha. This is great and so very true

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
