    Us

The teardrops that are the years we spend apart
Fall off the cheeks of love and across my heart.
I constantly search for ways to tell you
Of emotions and feelings that I never knew.
How we have grown across so many years
With so many memories to feed those tears.
We’ve seen our children grow and grow
College grads they become and off they go.
We’ve watched each other in many fights
Against invisible foes and despicable mights.
Yet here we are again with another mile
Still holding hands and still breaking a smile.
Through it all you’ll always have me
My heart you now own for eternity.

its gud to kno tht enduring love still exist in the world

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
