UNSUNG HERO

MY VOICE SINGS TO THOSE WHO HAVE FELT MY PAIN/ MY BLOOD-DROPS CREATE A RYTHYM IN WHICH ONLY I CAN EXPLAIN/ I LEAN MY HEAD ON THE WINDOW PANE/ IN THE HOPES THAT I CAN OBTAIN/ MY NAME/ INSIDE OF A BOOK: "THE SINGER'S HALL OF FAME"/ I SING TO THOSE WHO CAN SPEAK WHAT I'VE SPOKE/ I EXHALE MY VOICE TO THOSE TRYING TO REPAIR WHAT THEY'VE BROKE/ AND ON THAT HIGH NOTE/ ON ALL THE THINGS THAT ARE BROKE/ MY SPIRIT HAS BEEN TORN, AND IVE BEEN STRUGGLING TO COPE/ SO I SING A TYPE OF MUSIC THAT I CALL THE BLUES/BECAUSE I FEEL THAT FEW SOULS CAN A STEP IN MY SHOES/THERE ARE MANY TIMES I SING AND IT APPEARS THAT IM NOT HEARD/THE SOULS THAT KNOW MY PRESENCE,DONT KNOW OF THE EVENTS THAT HAVE OCCURRED/IM OFTEN OVERSHADOWED BY THE PAINS OF MY OTHERS/SOMETIMES I KEEP TO MYSELF;IM HIDDEN;UNDERCOVER/I SING IN LOW KEY BECAUSE I DONT LIKE TO SHOWBOAT/I SING WORDS OF REALITY,I DONT LIKE TO SUGARCOAT/MY VOICE EXHALES A BREATHE BEYOND SURREAL/MY VOICE EJECTS TO MAKE THE ENTIRE WORLD FEEL/ FEEL THE TORTURE OF A SOUL WHO HAS LOSS MORE THAN TWO/FEEL THE AGONY OF A SOUL WHO HEARS MORE LIES THAN TRUTH/I SING TO LET EVERYONE KNOW ABOUT THE PAIN MY SPIRIT HAS FELT/I SING TO LET THEM KNOW THAT I MADE IT WITH ONLY GOD'S HELP/IM SINGING MY LIFE TO MANY, THOUGH IT FEELS LIKE ZERO/ IM SINGING MY "TALL TALE",IM AN UNSUNG HERO/////

That was pretty deep to such a young man. Keep your head up with a smile.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
