She Promised Me
A promise made; forever/ A promise broken; never/
She had the key to my heart/ I changed the lock cause now we're apart/
She said she would always stay in my life/ She vowed to be my first wife/
She spoke of how she would never inflict pain/ I thought she was different but found out she was the same/
She told me she would be here/ To wipe away every heavy tear/
My spirit was asleep, but is now awake/ Because I've realized my mistake/
I thought I had read between the lines/ But I didn't know that love had made me blind/
I can't explain how i feel/ Her love was fake and mine was surreal/
I knew the truth but believed the lies/ She was a thief in disguise/
She stole/ my pride/ and didn't give it back/ My soul/ has died/ and my heart is in a trap/
My soul has wept/ and my heart has bled/ Never will I forget/ The one who turned my eyes red/
I looked to the sky and felt the thunder's pain/ The rivers of my tears equaled to the Ocean's rain/ My soul is now insane/ Because I regret the exchange/
The exchange of dialogue; the exchange of what was real/ Or was I in a fantasy only trying to conceal/
She said she loved me and said I was her king/ She told that forever she will wear my promise ring/
A promise made to me/ A promise that said forever we'll be/ A promise that said her love was deep/ She said she wouldn't break a promise, that was a promise she couldn't keep///////
She had the key to my heart/ I changed the lock cause now we're apart/
She said she would always stay in my life/ She vowed to be my first wife/
She spoke of how she would never inflict pain/ I thought she was different but found out she was the same/
