    Un-Armed

    In the light of day,
    My shield falls away
My armor left shattered at my feet.
And I am left open and exposed.
Raw emotions, with no place to go.
My salvation is found in your arms.
That which I crave is so far away.
Abandoned and alone my will to survive falters.
I grasp for anything that brings back my control.
When my shield is too heavy to hold.
Who will steady my hand when I am no longer able?
