    For all Of You

If you could reach inside my shell
If I could reach behind your shield
We would find our self on common battle fields
Neither on one side or the other
Side by side sister and brother
Head to head father and daughter

    Don’t cry for me
For this life I have chosen
    Don’t try to fix me
    I am not broken
    Don’t pray for my soul
For my soul is not lost

    Want for me
All that I want for you
    A life of love
    Filled with gifts of laughter
For all of you my mother, father, sister and brother

Thanks Angel, sorry for such a delayed reply. I dont use a skilled poetry style. I write what I feel and hope others find something to relate to.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
