U+Me

I used to see,
U+me, years from
Now, under a
Tree. My hair
Pretty and light,
Your arms holding
Me tight.

My smile wide,
Your eyes the truest
Blue, lighter than the tide,
The sun, high and bright,
Filled with power and might.

That's what i used
To see, just u+me.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
